What Viking is Not
When most cruise lines are building bigger and more over-the-top ships, we provide a thoughtful, authentic and well-designed small ship experience that brings you closer to the world’s cultures. The ‘Viking difference’ is used to identify what sets us apart from other cruise lines, all the things that we don’t offer — because at Viking, our aim is to provide more of what you really need and less of what you don’t.

• No charge for alternative restaurants
• No charge for Wi-Fi
• No charge for use of self-service laundry
• No entrance fee for The Spa
• No spa sales pressure
• No inside staterooms
• No smoking
• No waiting in lines
