Cruise Description

16 Night Cruise sailing from New York to Dover aboard Carnival Legend.

Legends are made, not born, and we’ve made Carnival Legend even more deserving of its nameplate. This ship now packs some of the newest, greatest features you’ll find across the fleet.

If you’re looking to discover new legends, flip directly to the RedFrog Pub, featuring not only a mythical mascot, but actual drinks — plus Caribbean atmosphere by the gallon. Your heroic journey down the Green Thunder waterslide is a saga you’ll recount for ages. And Bonsai Sushi proves that you needn’t teach a man to fish for him to enjoy delicacies from the sea.

This ship, which pays tribute to some of the most enduring legends throughout the ages, still features classic Carnival Legend favorites. Take a dip in the Camelot and Avalon pools, wish for fortune at Club Merlin Casino, and taste something savory at Truffles Restaurant. There’s more than one way to dine at Lido Deck’s Unicorn Café, and at The Golden Fleece Steakhouse, the great multi-course meal is no myth.

Music lovers who go for the classics will love Billie’s Piano Bar. Kids will tell and retell their tale of their favorite vacation, spent hanging out and meeting new friends at one of three supervised youth areas. And adults can get lost in a good book, or just one another’s company, at the legendarily kid-free Serenity Adult Only Area… and then dance the night away at Medusa’s Lair Dance Club.

This is one vacation that’ll go down in your history books.

Highlights of this cruise:

New York
New York, New York is one of the major cities in the world and also one of the top tourist destinations in America. Also known as the Big Apple, the lively and bustling metropolis of New York City is full of interesting sights and major landmarks.

Many of New York's major landmarks and tourist attractions are known and loved throughout the world. Some of the top tourist attractions in New York include the Empire State Building , the Chrysler Building, Central Park, Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge and of course the enormous Statue of Liberty.

There are many museums in New York such as the Museum of the City of New York on Fifth Avenue, which houses an enormous amount of New York memorabilia and information. New York also has a large number of top art galleries, exhibiting many works of art from local and international artists.

Reykjavik
Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, directly east of Greenland, Iceland is Europe's westernmost country and the second largest island in the North-Atlantic ocean. Its capital, Reykjavik holds practically half of Iceland’s entire population, perhaps not surprising considering how little of the country is actually habitable. As such it is the country’s unrivalled cultural and economic centre surrounded by a vast wilderness of mountains and glaciers.

The city’s highlights are mostly found in central Reykjavik: lining Old Town and Lake Tjornin are attractive tin houses, some of the more historical buildings, and many of its restaurants and nighttime hotspots. Its nightlife is legendary, with all-night street parties in summer and a huge club scene year-round. The nearby surrounding wilderness offers walking trails at Videy Island or the lava area at Heidmork, is definitely worth a visit. At "Smoky Bay" you can see geothermal steam rising from the ground. Harnessed to heat the city, these smoke signals can be seen along with any number of natural wonders, half an hour out of town.

Cobh
Cobh is located 15 km’s from the city of Cork, on an island in Cork Harbor, County Cork, Ireland. It is a small port town which faces the sea in rows of terraces rising up the steep hillside, dominated by a tall and handsome 19th century cathedral, designed by Pugin.

Cork City is Ireland's third largest city (after Dublin and Belfast) and has always been an important seaport. It is situated on the banks of the River Lee which flows through the city in two main channels. Cork boasts great architecture and a vibrant cultural life.

Dover
Dover is a small seaside village with a huge history. It is also the main port for the ferries to France, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as a cruise ship port. Dover dates back centuries and played a critical roll during WWII. Dover's small, but quaint village is a wonderful place to take in everything English.

Dover stands beneath the famous White Cliffs which are topped by its massive castle, and overlooks the Straits of Dover. It is an excellent place to watch the worlds busiest shipping lanes.

Dover has a wonderful historical district with a great pedestrian shopping street (Cannon Street). Shops are found along the main street and on the side streets that adjoin it. The best place to start is from Market Square close to the underpass that leads to the oceanfront. Other attractions include the Dover museum, St Mary’s Cathedral and the Secret War Time Tunnels.
